Become a Sustaining Donor
Ruff Start Rescue exists because of the amazing efforts of our volunteers, foster families, and wonderful supporters. Each year we care for more animals than the previous year. Although we are grateful that we are able to give more animals the second chance they deserve, the monthly cost of care can be staggering. At this time, Ruff Start Rescue’s monthly veterinary costs average $17,000!
Routine veterinary expenses can include: updating vaccinations, placement of microchips, and sterilization. Many animals also require more advanced services for orthopedic concerns, dental extractions, eye enucleation, and treatment or management of life-threatening injuries and illnesses.
Our programs and services for animals and their people are sustained by the wonderful support of caring community members like you. The sustaining support program allows you to donate to these efforts with ease and convenience each month. By establishing a monthly automatic donation, you will continue to save lives and make an ongoing impact for animals in need.

Sponsor an Animal
Our animal sponsorship program allows you to make a tax-deductible donation that will support one of our special foster pets! Many of our rescued dogs and cats have veterinary expenses that exceed the amount of their adoption fees. Your contribution will assist in offsetting these expenditures and ensure that we continue to save more animals!

Sponsorship directly supports the pet of your choosing, which means your contribution will not be allocated to other program funds. And if you choose, we can send you updates on the animals you sponsor so you can learn about your impact firsthand!

Donate Your Vehicle
Help support the animals in our care by donating your vehicle and receive a tax deduction in the process. Any vehicle regardless of age or condition is accepted. Ruff Start Rescue has teamed up with the 501c3 nonprofit CARS™ to make this process simple and painless for donors. Once your vehicle has been sold, a portion of the proceeds will go to our programs and services. Types of vehicles eligible for the program include:

Donate your vehicle by calling 855-500-7433 or completing this short online form. Representatives are available to assist you seven days a week and will even pick up your vehicle at no cost to you. Tax receipts will be supplied by CARS.
